First coat of paint goes on. Make sure to really clean the glasses beforehand.

I made a little box with a template to avoid taping every mug. Worked well.

Three even coats later. Now to let it dry overnight.

Cutting the same design out of wood to make a small plug in light display.

Time to engrave the glass. The black spraypaint is used so that the laser has something to heat up on the surface of the glass.

This one had a huge drip mark while painting. I was nervous it would mess up the engraving but it turned out fine.

Nothing fancy. 12v led tape. I used old 3D misprints to give myself a space between the wall and sign for the leds.

All finished engraving. Now to wash off the paint. Use a bucket with hot water and dish soap and let it soak for a bit. Then scrub off the paint, dont worry about damaging the engraving. It wont wipe off.
